Coaching is different from therapy because it focusses more on the present and future than on the past. Why? Because change can only ever happen in the eternal NOW moment. Although there’s certainly some value in telling your story, it really isn’t necessary to revisit, rehash or reprocess painful events from the past, since this only serves to re-trigger the trauma and doesn’t offer any real or practical solutions.
Unlike counselling, the coaching relationship is a partnership and I’m available to you between sessions. This allows me to regularly check in with you, to hold you accountable for achieving your goals and to celebrate your successes with you, no matter how small.
Coaching will feel like a good fit if you’ve tried more traditional types of therapy in the past, but feel they never quite delivered the results you’d hoped for. I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where no topic is off limits.

Her coaching emphasises the present and the future rather than dwelling on the past, because genuine change is created in the present moment. While there can be value in telling one’s story, Susy does not consider revisiting painful events to be necessary for change – repeatedly reprocessing past trauma can re-trigger distress without offering practical solutions.
Coaching with Susy is a collaborative partnership; she remains accessible between sessions to check in, support accountability and celebrate progress, however small. She provides a safe, non-judgemental space where no topic is off limits, and offers a no-obligation introductory session so prospective clients can learn more about her approach and decide whether coaching would be a good fit.
For many common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and life transitions – remote therapy can be as effective as meeting in person. Research and practice show that online sessions work well for those everyday challenges.
Online therapy also offers practical flexibility. Clients can choose the format that suits them best – video appointments, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging – making it simpler to fit support into a busy routine.
