Marysa De Veer

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

Sometimes life feels overwhelming. Whether you’re struggling with relationships, grieving a loss, feeling anxious, or carrying the weight of past trauma, you don’t have to face these challenges alone.

About Me:
I’m a licensed therapist with over 30 years of personal growth experience and seven years of professional practice, accredited by the National Counselling Society. I believe deeply in your capacity to heal and thrive.

How We’ll Work Together:
We’ll explore what’s beneath the surface of your struggles. Using a warm, person-centered approach, I’ll help you understand your emotional triggers and patterns, many of which trace back to earlier life experiences. Through gentle inner child work, practical exercises, and creative methods, we’ll work toward healing and self-discovery.

My sessions blend empathy with practical guidance. You’ll learn meditation and grounding techniques that work in real-life situations, helping you feel more centered and resilient day to day.

My Background:
Having lived in Nigeria, Congo, Kenya, the Netherlands, France, and the UK, I understand how culture, spirituality, and identity shape our experiences. I’ve also run a social enterprise in The Gambia, which deepened my appreciation for diverse perspectives on healing and growth.

As a Kora musician and craftsperson who teaches bookbinding, I know how creativity can unlock healing. Music and art often become powerful tools in our therapeutic work, offering you new ways to express and understand yourself.

Qualifications:
I hold a Diploma in Emotional Therapeutic Counselling and specialized training in suicide and self-harm support. I’m fully insured and engage in regular supervision to ensure I’m providing you with quality care.

Getting Started:
If you’re ready to explore a therapeutic approach that’s both professionally grounded and creatively inspired, I’d love to hear from you. Your healing journey is unique, and I’m here to honour that while supporting you along the way.

Is Online Therapy the Right Fit for Your Needs?

For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life changes – online therapy can make a meaningful difference and has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.

A key benefit of remote therapy is flexibility. People can choose the mode of connection that suits them best – video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging – which can make it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.

Therapeutic support is provided by licensed professionals, and there is the option to change therapists at any time if someone feels a different fit would be more helpful. For many, online therapy offers an effective and adaptable route to get support when it is needed.
