The presenting issues which clients have brought to my counselling practice during my career has been extensive. I have supported clients in both short term counselling and long term therapy. People seek counselling or psychotherapy for a wide range of reasons, and these are frequently linked with feelings and experiences which they are finding difficult to understand and manage. I am committed to providing a safe, confidential, empathic, and non-judgmental setting and context for our work together, where you can begin to change barriers that may be standing in your way. My aim is to provide a space where you begin to understand yourself and your experiences, and to find ways of feeling able to resolve your personal difficulties and achieve a sense of positivity and hope in respect of the difficulties you have, or are currently experiencing .
I believe that by creating a safe and private space for counselling, where the therapeutic relationship, and subsequent trust which develops, is a key factor in clients being able to achieve a positive outcome. I have a non-judgemental and anti-discriminatory approach to life and this is central to how I work as a counsellor..
