Therapy for Carole is a vocation rather than simply work; she is committed to helping people realise their potential and to creating changes that endure. Over the course of her career she has supported many people in a wide range of settings, including secure mental health wards, refuges, prisons, mental health drop-in centres, hospices, learning disability services, charities and private companies.
Her professional roles have included offering mental health support, suicide prevention work and coaching. Carole has experience helping clients with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, coping with cancer and other serious illnesses, grief and loss, motivation, self-esteem and confidence.
Carole believes that each person is the expert in their own story and that individuals already possess strengths that can help them face challenges. She supports people to recognise and use those strengths so they can become the best versions of themselves. Taking the first step to begin therapy is a courageous decision, and Carole welcomes the opportunity to be part of that journey.
Many people wonder whether talking to a therapist online can really help. For a range of common issues – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or managing life transitions – online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional face-to-face sessions.
One major benefit is convenience. Clients can choose the format that suits them best – video calls, telephone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life or to access support from a distance.
All participating therapists are licensed professionals, and there is flexibility to change therapists if a different fit is desired. For many people, online therapy provides accessible, effective support delivered in ways that match their preferences and circumstances.
