About

Ayanna Jarrett believes people are here to support one another’s growth, adapt to change, and pursue more fulfilled lives and deeper connections. She recognizes that life’s peaks and valleys can produce intense emotional pain for some, and she approaches that reality with compassion and practical tools.

With 10 years of clinical experience, Ayanna has been professionally trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities to help clients move toward improved mental health. She views lasting change as the result of personal choice combined with new ways of approaching life’s challenges rather than a single prescribed method.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in Georgia, Ayanna focuses on the systems in a person’s life that are not functioning well and works to change those patterns. Her principal methods include Narrative Family Therapy, cognitive behavioral and dialectical techniques (CBT and DBT), and Solution Focused Therapy, and she draws on any data-driven approach that best serves her clients.

Ayanna has shown success working with people coping with grief and loss, narcissistic abuse, trauma and abuse, depression, anxiety and stress, blended family issues, parenting children with disabilities, and marriage counseling.

Her manner is described as warm, lighthearted, inviting, and non-threatening, while remaining focused on moving clients toward a more fulfilling life and greater emotional stability. She encourages patience with the healing process, acknowledging that dysfunctional patterns and unproductive behaviors often take time to unlearn when they have been embedded by family dynamics during childhood. She is prepared to take on that work with clients who are ready to do the same.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Many people wonder whether online therapy can genuinely help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.

One of the main benefits is flexibility – clients can connect in the format that suits them best, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility can make it easier to fit therapy into a busy routine and maintain continuity of care.

All participating therapists are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch therapists at any time if they feel a different fit would be more helpful. For many people, online therapy provides an accessible and practical way to pursue mental health support.
