Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello and welcome,
My name is Alex. I am an Integrative Humanistic Therapist and I have fourteen years of experience working with individuals and groups in various capacities.
I’m aware that it’s important to get the right support when life isn’t going so well…
I believe that all of us carry certain pain within and occasionally find ourselves in dark woods and therefore we shouldn’t feel any shame or judgment in discussing our life experiences.
My journey to becoming a therapist began as a direct result of me being in therapy and seeing how beneficial and life changing it was for me.
I am convinced that the most important factor in therapy is the trusting therapeutic relationship. Therefore I offer compassion and non-judgement as a starting point to meet each other.
As an integrative practitioner, I draw from several different therapeutic approaches and psychological theories to tailor an approach that will suit your needs and allows us to work together.
I use a psychodynamic lens to explore your current difficulties – for example how you feel about yourself or others – which may be strongly influenced by past experiences and early childhood relationships. In doing so, unhelpful thinking, feeling and behaving patterns can be fully understood, which creates a space for meaningful change.
I will try to look at the bigger picture to help you to navigate through complexities of modern relationships. The aim is to reduce internal conflict, and regain a sense of connectedness and intimacy, as well as help you to strengthen your understanding of yourself and your relationship with the world around you.

Alexander Szendrei is an integrative humanistic therapist based in the United Kingdom with four years of professional experience.
He recognises how important it is to find the right support when life feels difficult, and he approaches therapy without shame or judgement.
His own experience of being in therapy motivated him to train as a therapist, and he views the trusting therapeutic relationship as the most important element of the work.
He offers compassion and a non-judgemental stance as a starting point and, as an integrative practitioner, draws on several therapeutic approaches and psychological theories to create a tailored way of working that suits each person.
Using a psychodynamic lens, he explores current difficulties – for example how someone feels about themselves or others – and how these patterns may be influenced by past experiences and early childhood relationships. By making unhelpful thinking, feeling and behaviour patterns more understandable, the work creates space for meaningful change.
He also looks at the bigger picture to help people navigate the complexities of modern relationships, aiming to reduce internal conflict, restore a sense of connectedness and intimacy, and strengthen understanding of the self and one’s relationship with the wider world.
People often wonder whether connecting with a therapist online can really help. For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes – online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person work.
A major advantage of online therapy is its flexibility. Individuals can meet with a therapist in the way that feels most comfortable – through video calls, telephone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to integrate therapy into everyday life.
Therapists offering online work are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch to a different therapist if they would like a better fit.
