Sean Wallis

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

Hi, I’m Sean – thank you for taking the time to explore my profile.

I am an integrative therapist with over four years of experience working in a range of therapeutic environments. My approach draws from a rich blend of theoretical knowledge and real-world practice, shaped by a core belief in the healing power of a strong therapeutic relationship.

My training includes four years of integrative therapy, encompassing person-centred, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), and psychodynamic modalities. This diverse foundation allows us to work in a way that’s flexible and tailored to you, choosing from a wide range of pathways based on what feels most supportive. At the heart of it all is a relationship-based framework, where creating a safe and trusting space is always the priority.

I’ve had the privilege of working across various settings including therapeutic children’s homes, specialist provision schools, a local college, and a suicide prevention charity. These roles have shaped my therapeutic approach to be both responsive and relational. Alongside my practice, I also support and train others entering the therapeutic field.

Much of my work is attuned to issues related to attachment and trauma. I understand that stepping into therapy can bring a mix of emotions. To support this, I offer the option of a shorter initial check-in session – a space to explore what therapy might look like for you, and to ensure it feels like the right fit.

Our first formal session is often about laying the foundations – creating a secure, collaborative space where we can move forward at your pace. Every client brings their own unique story, and I strive to honour that by working in a way that feels authentic and respectful to your experience.

If you’re curious about therapy or unsure where to start, I’m here to meet you where you are.

About

Sean Wallis is an integrative therapist based in the United Kingdom with five years of clinical experience. He draws on four years of integrative therapy training that includes person-centred work, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – which focuses on the links between thoughts, feelings and behaviour – and psychodynamic approaches to understand patterns rooted in past experience.

His practice is relationship-focused, prioritising a safe and trusting space where clients can move at their own pace. Sean has worked in a variety of settings including therapeutic children’s homes, specialist provision schools, a local college, and a suicide prevention charity. These roles have shaped a responsive, relational way of working, and he also supports and trains others entering the therapeutic field.

Much of Sean’s clinical work attends to attachment and trauma-related issues, while also supporting people with stress, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, relationship and intimacy concerns, trauma and abuse, compassion fatigue, ADHD, addictions, LGBT matters, family and parenting challenges, grief, sleep difficulties, anger, self-esteem, career questions and coping with life changes. He is a gay, non-religious male therapist who describes himself as liberal.

To reduce uncertainty about starting therapy, Sean offers the option of a shorter initial check-in session so people can explore how therapy might work for them. The first formal session typically focuses on laying foundations for a collaborative therapeutic relationship, and he aims to work in ways that honour each client’s unique story and needs.

Is Online Therapy the Right Choice for Your Mental Health Journey?

Many people ask whether remote therapy can truly help. For a range of common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life transitions – online therapy is widely regarded as comparable to traditional in-person sessions for many people. One of the main benefits is flexibility. Clients can choose how to connect in the way that suits them best: video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life and to maintain continuity of care when schedules or circumstances change. Therapists offering online sessions are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch to a different therapist if they feel a different fit would be more helpful. Online therapy can be an accessible route to support for many common mental health and relationship concerns.
