I’m a licensed mental health counselor in both the states of Hawaii (LMHC) and Arizona (LPC). I was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. I served active duty in the US Navy, then post military became a city firefighter-paramedic in Virginia. I eventually went back home to Arizona to complete my BA in Psychology at Arizona State University. Then eventually moved to Oahu, Hawaii in 2011, where I lived for close to 7 years starting my career in mental health and eventually earning my Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University of Honolulu in 2016. I’ve worked as an inpatient therapist with adolescent youth, in social work with Veterans Affairs helping homeless veterans find housing, and since have been doing psychotherapy online for the last 6 years. I recently moved up to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and have been enjoying getting acquainted with this beautiful country :).

Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly make a difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been found to be similarly effective as traditional in-person care for most situations.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the manner that best suits them, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to fit regular therapy into a busy life and to maintain continuity of care.
Sessions are provided by licensed professionals and, if a client feels a different therapeutic fit would be helpful, it is possible to switch therapists. For many people seeking support with everyday mental health concerns, online therapy offers an accessible and practical option to begin or continue treatment.
