Whether clients are coping with relationship stress and conflict, navigating a life-altering event, or experiencing post-traumatic stress, he provides a safe, nonjudgmental space to address obstacles and concerns and to foster healing.
He brings a perspective shaped by both personal and professional experience and holds a deep belief that people can awaken to their own inner truth and find light even in difficult times. His work focuses on guiding clients back toward their innate mental health, true nature, and a greater sense of peace and wellbeing.
Sean is a licensed mental health counselor authorized to practice in both Arizona and Hawaii. He has 10 years of clinical experience and a background that includes active duty service in the US Navy followed by work as a city firefighter-paramedic in Virginia. He returned to Arizona to complete a BA in Psychology at Arizona State University, then moved to Oahu in 2011 where he began his career in mental health and earned a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University of Honolulu in 2016. His clinical roles have included inpatient therapy with adolescents and social work with the Department of Veterans Affairs assisting homeless veterans with housing, and he has provided psychotherapy online for the last 6 years. He recently relocated to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and is enjoying getting acquainted with the area.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly make a difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been found to be similarly effective as traditional in-person care for most situations.
One major benefit is flexibility - clients can connect in the manner that best suits them, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to fit regular therapy into a busy life and to maintain continuity of care.
Sessions are provided by licensed professionals and, if a client feels a different therapeutic fit would be helpful, it is possible to switch therapists. For many people seeking support with everyday mental health concerns, online therapy offers an accessible and practical option to begin or continue treatment.
