Sarah Greenwood offers a safe, confidential space where people can explore the difficulties affecting their lives. She supports those who are feeling anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, empty or disconnected, and those experiencing other emotions that make it hard to enjoy life. Reaching out for help is encouraged as a brave and kind step toward change.
She is a professional, empathic and friendly therapist and CBT practitioner who is committed to helping clients examine options and find ways to move forward. Her work takes place in a welcoming, supportive environment and combines a range of therapeutic approaches to maximise positive change.
Across 17 years of practice, Sarah has counselled people in both private and public sector settings. She provides a non-judgmental, confidential space in which clients can explore concerns such as depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, panic attacks, isolation, relationship difficulties, the psychological impacts of trauma, self-harm, suicidal ideation and addictions.
Sarah is a qualified Person Centred Counsellor and an integrative therapist who uses cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to support practical change. She is a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and follows its ethical framework. She also takes part in regular supervision and continuing professional development, holds an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, and works with children, young people and adults.
She aims to create a safe therapeutic space in which client and therapist can work together to explore matters that may feel uncomfortable or distressing to discuss.
