If you’re reading this, it is more than likely you are thinking of taking the first steps towards making some important changes to your life. The thought of therapy can often be a daunting prospect to consider and choosing the right therapist is the first important decision you will make on this journey.
Hi there, my name is Richard
I have always had more than a passing interest in human experience, and some years ago this interest led me to pursue a degree in psychology. During this time I found myself drawn to the topics of emotion, personality and mental health. This combination naturally led me to the field of counselling and I decided I wanted to take this further. I embarked on completing an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic counselling with the University of Manchester and have been working within Mental health ever since.
I am an experienced, qualified NCS accredited therapist
It is not always easy to talk about our feelings, and while the support of friends and family is often sufficient for some, for many it is invaluable to talk to someone objective who is professionally trained to help.
As a qualified therapist, I offer a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space that is exclusively for you. A space that allows you the opportunity to talk about any issues you may want to bring, past or present. Talking can help you learn more about yourself or help you make sense of your thoughts and feelings.
i am an integrative therapist and can offer Person-centred therapy, emotion-focused therapy CBT and Psychodynamic therapy, in addition to solution-focused therapy.
I have several specialisms including self-esteem, Male mental health, depression & anxiety.

Many people ask whether online therapy can really help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life changes, research and clinical practice indicate that online therapy can be as effective as in-person work for most people.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can choose the mode of contact that best suits their situation, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. This makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life and to access support from different locations.
Therapy delivered online is provided by licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they feel a different fit would be more helpful. For many people the convenience and accessibility of online sessions make them a practical and effective route to addressing everyday mental health and relationship concerns.
