Michelle Robinson-Hayes is a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, Hypnotherapist, Career Coach and Mental Health Trainer with 10 years of professional experience. She is BACP Registered and NCPS Accredited - registered with a major professional counselling body and accredited by NCPS - and combines therapeutic practice with training and supervision.
She spent three decades in senior management roles within corporate industries, developing skills in strategic planning, target setting, KPI management and delivering training and coaching to large audiences, teams and individuals. Her background includes account management, customer service, scheduling and working within business process and policy frameworks.
Empathetic by nature, Michelle founded The Listening Tree to provide affordable counselling and hypnotherapy services to local people and has run the practice for over eight years. She has taught hypnotherapy and counselling to student hypnotherapists and counsellors up to level 5, and she also supervises practising counsellors as a counselling supervisor. Her clinical training includes an Advanced Hypnotherapy Course with Higher Perspectives and qualification as a hypnotherapy supervisor.
Michelle has substantial experience supporting bereavement, having volunteered with CRUSE where she completed over 150 hours during her placement. Since graduating over eight years ago she has delivered more than 1,000 hours of counselling and around 500 hours of hypnotherapy. She has been an affiliate for organisations including Anxiety UK, Ben, Mates in Mind, Professional Help Redarc, Randstad, Griefchat, Vita Health Ltd and Betterhelp.
She has mentored students aged 16 to 25 and mature students returning to study, often supporting individuals with complex mental or physical health issues that affect study motivation. Michelle also has experience working with EAP helplines and providing telephone and video counselling. She is enthusiastic and motivated to listen and to help others achieve their goals.
