Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a fully qualified integrative Counsellor and psychotherapist who is registered with the BACP (the professional body for counsellors). Whether you have or have not had counselling before I suggest you hear more about how I work as counsellors work in different ways.
As you know counselling is a ‘talking treatment’. This means we would explore together what you want to change and find a way forward that feels manageable for you. Through working with me in this way individuals begin to develop and change. This in my opinion is all done by having the capacity to heal, grow and create a life that is more fitting with what we desire. Meaning making and helping people re-discover and attain these inner resources that so often feel like they’re lost through either distortion, mistrust and experiences in life.
You can expect a warm, genuine and respectful attitude from myself when we work together. Drawing and writing are also a couple of other ways we can work together. After all.. these are your sessions!
I am a fully qualified Counsellor with individual registration with BACP (British association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
I therefore have a diploma in Counselling and undertake continuing professional development through specialised training course.
I have helped individuals obtain relief from a wide range of issues including: Depression, anxiety, bereavement, relationship difficulties, guilt, trauma and abuse.
As well as working in private practice I have also counselled within a bereavement service.
If you have been in therapy before and that experience did not resolve your issues, bear in mind that psychotherapy for example, is a name for a very diverse range of theoretical models and treatment approaches, and individual psychotherapists apply the model and method in which they are trained in their personal way. Some peoples issues may be susceptible to almost any model or approach, whereas others need a particular method that not all therapists use.
I am trained in a number of models and approaches and try to tailor the treatment I offer to your particular needs, rather than to expecting your need to be susceptible to a single treatment approach.

Meltem Hussein is a fully qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist who is registered with the BACP, the professional body for counsellors. She invites people to learn about how she works, recognising that counsellors use different approaches and that a brief conversation about method can help people decide if it is a good fit.

Many people wonder whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person work for most situations.
A major benefit is flexibility – people can choose the mode of contact that fits their life, whether video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to fit therapy around work, family and other commitments.
Licensed professionals provide online therapy, and the same standards of professional training apply. If the therapeutic match is not right, clients are usually able to switch to a different therapist at any time to find a better fit.
