Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Do you need someone to listen and understand? Thank you for sharing information about yourself. I’m happy that you reached out for help. I am Megan du Plessis, a licensed therapist in the UK. My approach is predominately person centred tailored to your needs. Imagine being safe, heard and understood; I strive to provide that space! Initially I will mostly listen helping you to get clarity in your own mind regarding your situation, your needs and your options. As we get to know each other we may use elements of CBT, Compassion Focussed Therapy and other approaches according to your needs. It is a scary process, but I believe in a gentle approach that does not retraumatised. I have worked in addiction within a Trauma Informed approach and bereavement with a more Solution Focussed approach giving us a lot of scope to lead you to be in a better place. I am licensed in the UK with experience in helping clients with coping with addictions, trauma and abuse, coping with grief and loss, & motivation, self esteem, and confidence. You will be treated with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Together we will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and you have done well and can be proud of yourself for getting started!

Megan Du Plessis is a UK-licensed therapist with 5 years of experience who offers a predominantly person-centred approach tailored to each client’s needs. She aims to create a space where people feel safe, heard and understood.
In early sessions Megan focuses on listening and helping clients gain clarity about their situation, needs and available options. As the therapeutic relationship develops she may integrate elements of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Compassion Focussed Therapy and other approaches according to what is most helpful for the individual.
She works from a gentle, trauma-informed stance designed to avoid retraumatisation. Megan has experience supporting people with addiction within a trauma-informed framework and working with bereavement using a more solution-focused approach, giving scope to help clients move toward a better place.
Her areas of work include supporting people with coping with addictions, trauma and abuse, grief and loss, motivation, self-esteem and confidence. She treats clients with respect, sensitivity and compassion, and collaborates to tailor dialogue and treatment plans to each person’s unique needs. Megan recognises that taking the first step into therapy can take courage and supports clients as they begin that process.
