Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Welcome! My name is Margaret “Gibson” Ellison. I have 23 years experience as a counselor, which has provided me with experiences necessary to assist clients with overcoming obstacles created by anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, trauma, relationship dysfunction, and societal pressures. I hold specialty certifications in chemical and sexual addiction, and am also certified as a Rainbow Advocate Educator. I have worked across a variety of settings: inpatient, outpatient, private practice and virtual platforms. I have been in private practice in Conyers, Georgia for the last 14 years. My focus is collaborative, client-centered and motivational. I have witnessed strong positive outcomes facilitated through the therapeutic relationship, listening objectively and pursuing goals that we build and set together.
I believe a person’s decision to enter counseling demonstrates courage and willingness to make positive changes. Together with my clients, we form a therapeutic alliance that facilitates personal growth and self-improvement. I enjoy working with adults 18 and over, and seeing them achieve their goals. I do not believe in a ,”cookie-cutter” approach to therapy, and am dedicated to providing an individual, personal counseling experience, unique to the specific needs of my clients. I enjoy providing a holistic approach to counseling, by focusing on each client as a whole person, comprised of beautiful parts within.
I understand that no two people are the same, and am devoted to providing everyone who, “walks,” onto my screen, with individualized care in order to meet your personal needs. I am excited to support you during this time of transformation, while respecting your independence. You have taken a momentous step forward by reaching out, and I am committed to taking this journey with you. If you have any questions, or would like additional details, please don’t hesitate to message me.
Thank you so much, I look forward to hearing from you.

Many people question whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, and life transitions, remote therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is convenience and flexibility – individuals can connect in the format that suits them best, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to fit therapy into busy schedules and varying lifestyles.
All therapists offering remote care are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change providers if they seek a different fit. For many people, online therapy provides an accessible and effective way to pursue meaningful progress on mental health and life concerns.
