Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a registered Integrative Therapist in the UK with 6 years of professional work experience. Integrative means I use various different modalities depending on the issues a client may present with, for example Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is useful for identifying and challenging unhelpful thoughts and to learn practical self-help strategies. Whereas sometimes it is more appropriate to use a more open space approach, allowing the client to work through and reflect on their experiences in order to unpick them and make sense of them.
In my counselling career I have worked within a women’s charity which was located in an area of low socioeconomic status. This meant that many of the women were impacted by having limited access to financial, educational, social and health resources and with this comes many different implications and barriers. Many of these women experiencing challenging childhoods and ongoing traumas and were stuck in this cycle. Working with these women allowed them to receive the support they needed to work through their traumas past and present and to feel more empowered going forward.
Currently, I am working for the NHS Talking Therapies as well as in in private practice where I contract out to BetterHelp. Through this work and my previous work at the women’s charity, I have supported clients through grief, depression, anxiety, childhood traumas, sexual abuse, parenting issues, relationship issues, substance use by self/loved one… to name a few!
As a person-centred therapist, I allow the client to bring their agenda and listen without judgement. I believe that you are the expert of your own self and your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

Lucy Middleton is a registered Integrative Therapist in the United Kingdom with 6 years of professional experience. As an integrative practitioner she draws on different modalities depending on the issues a client presents – for example, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy can be used to identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and to teach practical self-help strategies, while a more open, exploratory approach can give clients space to reflect on their experiences and make sense of them.
Earlier in her counselling career she worked for a women’s charity situated in an area of low socioeconomic status, supporting women affected by limited access to financial, educational, social and health resources. Many of those women had experienced difficult childhoods and ongoing traumas; her work there focused on helping them process past and present harms and to feel more empowered going forward.
She currently works for NHS Talking Therapies and also maintains a private practice, contracting to BetterHelp. Through these roles and her previous charity work she has supported people through grief, depression, anxiety, childhood traumas, sexual abuse, parenting and relationship issues, and substance use concerns affecting clients or their loved ones.
As a person-centred therapist she invites clients to bring their own agenda and listens without judgement, holding the view that individuals are the experts on their own lives and that their strengths can help them overcome challenges. She recognises that seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage and offers support throughout that process.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can genuinely help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One of the main benefits is flexibility – you can connect with a therapist in the format that suits you best: video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This variety makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule and to engage in a way that feels most comfortable.
Therapists offering online work are licensed professionals, and if you feel another therapist would be a better fit you can switch at any time. Online therapy can make it simpler to access consistent support for everyday struggles and life transitions while working with trained professionals.
