Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Lisa Howarth, MBACP
Counsellor | Trainee Psychosexual & Relational Psychotherapist
Online therapy for anxiety, self-worth, relationships, trauma, neurodivergence, and life transitions
Warm and down-to-earth, I welcome people from all walks of life.
You may come with grief, low mood, anxiety or long-standing patterns like people pleasing, self-blame or emotional disconnection. You may be carrying trauma or shame, feeling distant from yourself, or wanting to understand your relationships more deeply. Together we can explore boundaries, attachment and unmet needs, and gently build trust, self-esteem and compassion.
I’m person-centred, trauma-informed and neurodiversity-aware, and an LGBTQIA+ ally. I support you to explore identity, relationships and sexuality, including desire, pleasure, boundaries and intimacy. I work with male and female survivors of sexual abuse, offering a steady, sensitive space for experiences that can feel hard to speak about.
As a trainee Psychosexual and Relational Therapist, I can help partners communicate more openly, understand patterns, and reconnect with one another, emotionally and sexually.

Many people ask whether online therapy can really help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life changes, evidence shows that therapy delivered remotely can be as effective as traditional face-to-face work.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can choose the format that fits their life, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to attend regular sessions and maintain continuity of care.
All therapists involved are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they need a different therapeutic fit. Online therapy provides practical access to professional support while preserving the core elements of effective treatment for many everyday mental health and relationship issues.
