Laura Turba is a qualified counsellor and children’s counsellor based in the United Kingdom with 3 years of experience. She works in a person-centred way, adapting her approach to suit each individual’s needs and progressing at whatever pace the client feels ready for.
She has worked across a variety of agencies and with people of different ages, backgrounds, and presenting issues. Laura is accustomed to using score-related assessments and has achieved a strong track record working person-centred, particularly in areas from suicide and self-harm prevention through to sexual abuse and childhood trauma.
Her primary aim is to support clients through some of their most difficult life experiences while keeping the client at the centre of the work and matching the level and pace to their readiness. She offers help to heal from challenging experiences and to hold clients in ways that promote a sense of safety as they work through those issues.
Laura works flexibly to accommodate family and work commitments. Prospective clients are encouraged to raise any concerns about starting therapy or maintaining sessions due to other obligations, and she will aim to work through those practical issues with them.
For many common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes, online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person sessions. Research and practice have shown that remote therapy meets the needs of a wide range of everyday mental health challenges.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can choose the format that feels most comfortable, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to fit therapy around work, family, and other commitments.
All therapists involved are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch therapists at any time if they would prefer a different fit. Online therapy offers an accessible way to connect with professional support while maintaining the variety of communication methods that best suit each person.
