Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a qualified counselling therapist in the Person-Centred approach and I am licensed in the UK with 3 years of professional work experience. Having lived experience I have learned that stress, anxiety and trauma form a much larger part of life than we imagine. Having someone you feel safe and comfortable to talk to is so important so that you do not feel you have to cope alone with your experiences. I can be alongside you and accept whatever you might want to bring to our sessions in a calm and accepting way.
I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, coping with addictions, trauma and abuse, motivation, self esteem, and confidence. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.
You will be at the centre of our time together. My aim is to create a space with you where you feel you are being held by a ‘safe pair of hands’. I welcome all the parts of you – the dark, painful and perhaps despairing parts as well as the hopeful and joyous parts.
You may want to look at how you can make changes in your life to move towards feeling calmer and more content or perhaps you want to get back to your ‘old self’ again. Or you may find that you just need someone to talk to whilst you are going through a difficult time in your life.

Joanne Rothery is a qualified counselling therapist trained in the Person-Centred approach and is licensed to practise in the United Kingdom. She brings four years of professional experience to her work and speaks from lived experience about how stress, anxiety and trauma can shape everyday life.
Joanne aims to provide a space where people feel safe and comfortable to talk so they do not have to manage difficult experiences alone. She works alongside clients in a calm, accepting manner and is open to whatever they bring to sessions.
Her experience includes supporting people with stress and anxiety, coping with addictions, trauma and abuse, motivation, self-esteem and confidence. She approaches each person with respect, sensitivity and compassion.
Clients are placed at the centre of the therapeutic process. Joanne seeks to create a space that feels like being held by a “safe pair of hands” and welcomes all parts of a person – the painful and despairing as well as the hopeful and joyful. Some people come to explore changes that might help them feel calmer and more content, others want to reconnect with a previous sense of self, and some simply need someone to talk to during a difficult time.
Many people ask whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life changes, evidence shows that online therapy is often as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that suits them best, whether that is by video call, phone session, live chat or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life and to maintain continuity of care.
Therapy delivered online is provided by licensed professionals, and if someone feels they need a different fit they can change therapists at any time. For many people, remote sessions provide a practical and effective route to getting support when they need it.
