Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
My own life journey led me to this profession, which I love and on which I place a very high value. My extensive training was a worthwhile addition to my own personal, as well as professional life and it ensures that I can support you to overcome what is currently overwhelming, or troubling you. We are all shaped by our environment, I certainly was, but we can learn to uncover what is ours, what was transfered to us and what belongs elsewhere.
The most common feedback I get from clients is that they love that I am just an ordinary person and very down to earth. There’s no power dynamic to be felt between us, we can move through this, comfortably, together.
Also, as I’ve had my own life experience, I’m empathetic and genuine and I’ll always try to walk in your shoes – by your side.
There are lots of reasons why you may want support and my experience is, getting through the door is the hard nerve-wrecking part and everyone feels the same. But once you’ve done that, I’ll help you feel comfortable and build a relationship with you, so that talking is so much easier. You may then wonder why you didn’t do it before! You have to feel ready and there’s no pressure, no judgement.
What is it that I do?
I provide professional Humanistic Person-centred / Integrative counselling for adults (including young adults) and also for couples, where we can explore and gain insight into any issues, or troubles and see if we can find a way, together, to make life easier for you.
It’s primarily person centred therapy (talking therapy), meaning it is all about you and the therapy tools, knowledge and expertise used, will be unique to you as an individual.
No two people are alike, have the same life story, or feel the same, even if they have experienced the same things in life, nor do they have all the same symptoms, or effects. Each event in life is experienced differently by each person and therefore can affect them in very different ways. No-one knows how you feel!
The process of therapy will be built on us having a great therapeutic relationship, where you can feel safe to open up and explore things you may not want to say out loud to yourself, or anyone else – without feeling embarrassed, judged, criticised, shamed, or a burden. Very often we don’t share our inner most thoughts and feelings for this reason. This is a safe place for us to explore, unpick, get beneath the layers and find out what it is your body and mind are troubled by.
There’s no judgement here, you will be heard and your feelings will be validated. This is all about you. Nor will there be any unsolicited advice.
Therapy is often not easy, especially if your past, or present is currently emotionally painful. But with support and the willingness to move forward, your journey can lead you to a happier, peaceful, or more content place.

Joanne Breslin’s own life journey led her into the therapy profession, and she places a high value on the work she does. Her extensive training has enriched both her personal and professional life and enables her to support people to overcome what is currently overwhelming or troubling them.
She offers Humanistic Person-centred / Integrative counselling for adults, including young adults, and for couples. Her approach is primarily person-centred, focusing on the individual so that the therapeutic tools, knowledge and techniques are tailored to each person’s unique needs and experiences.
The most common feedback Joanne receives is that clients appreciate her ordinariness and down-to-earth manner. She aims to create a relationship without a felt power dynamic so people can move through the process comfortably together.
Having her own life experience informs Joanne’s practice; she strives to be empathetic and genuine and to walk alongside clients as they explore difficult feelings. She aims to help people feel comfortable and to build a trusting relationship so talking becomes easier, with no pressure and no judgement.
Joanne recognises that getting started is often the hardest, most nerve-wracking step, and she works to make the early sessions as approachable as possible. Therapy can be challenging when past or present experiences are emotionally painful, but with support and willingness to move forward, the process can lead to greater peace and contentment. She is based in the United Kingdom and has 4 years of experience.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
A major advantage of remote counselling is flexibility. Individuals can connect in the way that suits them best – through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit therapy into everyday life.
Therapists offering online services are licensed professionals, and clients may switch to a different therapist at any time if they feel a different fit would be better. This range of options allows people to find an approach and a practitioner that meets their needs while receiving professional support.
