Jesse Weight (she/her/hers) is an EMDR-certified counselor based in Oregon who focuses on trauma in its many forms. She brings eight years of clinical experience to work with stress, anxiety, addictions, LGBT and gender-related concerns, trauma and abuse, anger management, relationship and family conflicts, grief, intimacy-related issues, eating and sleeping disorders, self-esteem challenges, career difficulties, bipolar disorder, depression, coping with life changes, compassion fatigue, and ADHD.
Jesse practices from an Existential and Feminist perspective, offering an inclusive, nonjudgmental, and practical approach. She is committed to delivering therapies that are skillfully applied and supported by evidence, and she emphasizes transparency in how interventions are chosen and used.
She is a licensed professional counselor in both Oregon and Colorado, and she aims to help clients understand their own minds by providing clear, usable guidance for change - in other words, an owner’s manual for the brain. Her work reflects a dedication to effective, client-centered care.
If a client feels in need of urgent help or is in crisis at any time during their work together, they should call 1-800-273-TALK 24 hours a day, or 911. This forum does not provide any type of emergency services, so Jesse wants to ensure clients know who to contact if immediate help is needed.
Many people wonder whether therapy delivered online can really help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or the process of navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One of the main benefits is flexibility - clients can connect in the way that fits their needs and schedule, whether through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. That adaptability often makes it easier to maintain consistency and fit therapy into a busy life.
Therapists offering these services are licensed professionals, and clients generally have the option to switch therapists if they need a different fit. Online therapy can be a practical and effective choice for many people seeking support.
