Jason Huber brings more than 27 years of experience in the behavioral health field, and during the past five years he has provided virtual, text, and phone-based sessions. He works to ease the pressure and tension that often accompanies beginning therapy, and he asks only that prospective clients give him a chance to see if he is a good fit for their needs.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1995 and a Master of Science in Behavioral Science from Cameron University in 1997. He is licensed in Oklahoma as a Licensed Professional Counselor, credential LPC02663, and has built a varied career serving individuals, families, and organizations.
His background includes supporting families facing the stress of child welfare involvement, juvenile justice concerns, adoption, and custody disputes, and he has worked extensively with military families in both private practice and agency settings as a consultant and provider. He has consulted with management teams on implementing behavioral solutions for children and families, facilitated trainings and seminars on prevention and treatment topics, and supported marketing efforts for behavioral health programs in public and private settings.
Clinically, Jason has experience with individual and group treatment across a wide range of populations and disorders, including geriatric clients, children and early-childhood populations, addictions, serious mental illness, and criminal behavior. His work history includes more than eight years in public school systems, service to Department of Defense populations across Army, Navy, and Air Force communities in multiple states, roughly three years in therapeutic foster care, three years with the State of Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, consulting for Lawton Head Start, and ongoing roles in both for-profit and not-for-profit counseling agencies. He has also provided private counseling for individuals, couples, families, and children.
Jason has extensive experience in crisis response and traumatic event support, having provided services for organizations including Boeing, Dell, Quad/Graphics, Assurant, Cintas, BAE Systems, Cedar Ridge Hospital, UPS, Bank of America, USA Compression, Merrill Lynch, Oklahoma University Children’s Hospital, Blattner Energy, and many others. He is based in Oklahoma and remains open to working with people who are exploring whether his approach will suit their goals.
Many people wonder whether remote therapy can produce meaningful results. For everyday concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or navigating life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person care for most common issues.
A major benefit of online work is flexibility – clients can choose the format that fits their life, whether that is video sessions, phone calls, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to maintain continuity of care and to schedule sessions around work, family, or other commitments.
All therapists involved are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they feel a different match would be better. For many people, online therapy provides a practical and effective way to address mental health and relationship concerns while fitting treatment into their everyday routines.
