About

Hi, I am Erika. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and conduct myself in accordance with their high standards and ethics.

My approach is integrative which means that I use various methods to meet your needs to support your self-exploration, drawing on what feels most helpful for you.

We will work together to understand your emotional and psychological difficulties and bring unconscious processes into awareness. Together we can move towards increase resilience and moving forward with your psychological well-being.

I have been working in English and Spanish with people from different backgrounds and cultures for several years. I truly respect client’s values and ways of thinking. Currently, I work for an intercultural therapy centre providing counselling to people experiencing psychological problems and who may be finding it difficult to access help because of barriers such as culture or language.

My areas of expertise are anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, low confidence, identity concerns, anger management, addiction and eating disorders. Also, I have a particular interest in Attachment-based psychotherapy and this approach very much informs my practice.

I can support you by offering a non-judgmental and confidential environment where you feel safe to talk and explore the emotions behind the issues that may be stopping you from moving forwards with your life. I work relationally and collaboratively, focusing on you and gaining insight into your past and present and working towards future change by providing new perspectives, understanding and clarity. It’s my job to support you while you find the answers to the questions that you ask yourself.
My role is not giving advice. However, I can reflect what you are bringing in a different way with the aim to help you to see things from another perspective or recommend some practical ways of coping with difficult emotions or situations.

It takes courage to ask for help and commit to making the needed changes, to have the life you desire. I am here to support and empower you in your healing process.

Is Online Therapy the Right Fit for Your Needs?

Many people question whether online therapy can produce meaningful change. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or coping with life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most people. A major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that suits them best, including video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. This makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life or to access support from different locations. Licensed professionals offer care through these formats, and if a different fit is needed clients have the option to switch therapists. Online work can be a practical and effective way to address everyday mental health and relationship concerns while accommodating individual schedules and preferences.
