Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a qualified Accredited Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with many years of experience. I have worked with people of all ages and backgrounds but in particular teenagers, adolescents and young people. I hold an updated Enhanced DBS Certificate.
I work with topics including anxiety, burnout, depression, relationships, childhood trauma, bereavement, self-awareness, emotional regulation, processing change.
I work from a pluralistic approach which means I am trained in multiple different kinds of therapy. I get to know each client and their needs and speak with them regarding the approach they would like to take, ie do we work more short-term in handling the current issue at hand or work more long-term to understand the cause and unravel things more. We then work together to pick and choose bits from each school of counselling to help that person achieve their goal.
I have my levels 2, 3, 4 and 5 (diploma) in psychotherapeutic counselling. I have a degree in Theology and Religious Studies and Sociology.
I am an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society which means I am overseen by a governing body whose ethical guidelines I adhere to.
What we discuss will be strictly confidential, however should you provide specific information related to terrorism, drug trafficking, money laundering, sexual abuse or if you express a wish to cause immediate harm to yourself or others, I would legally need to pass this information to the relevant authorities. Additionally, should I receive a court order or a request by a coroner, I am legally bound to provide my notes on our sessions. As part of the counselling process, I will keep brief notes of our sessions. These are anonymised with your initials only and are kept in a lockable box to which only I have access to.
By proceeding to book an appointment with me, you will be agreeing to the above in relation to confidentiality.
