Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello there!
I am a Clinical Social Worker licensed to provide psychotherapy in Texas. With me, you are working with a trained mental health professional. I received my bachelor’s degree at St. Edward’s University and my master’s degree at The University of Texas, both in Austin, Texas.
Over the past eighteen years, I have worked with people experiencing psychiatric crises, provided child protective services, and one-on-one therapy. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns: chronic and severe mental illness (bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and borderline personality disorder); depression; anxiety; PTSD; end of life issues; grief and loss; parenting concerns. Thorough my career, I have the privilege of helping hundreds of individuals suffering with the lasting effects of trauma.
I am experienced in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). My approach is person-centered, and is tailored to your specific wants, needs, and goals. The best news is that emotional and/or psychological distress does not have to control your life!

Deborah Zimmerman is a Texas-licensed clinical social worker with 20 years of experience delivering psychotherapy. She completed her bachelor’s degree at St. Edward’s University and earned a master’s degree from The University of Texas, both in Austin.
Across two decades she has worked in settings that include psychiatric crisis response, child protective services, and individual therapy. Her practice has covered a broad spectrum of concerns, from chronic and severe mental illnesses such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and borderline personality disorder, to depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief and end-of-life issues, and parenting challenges.
She has supported hundreds of people coping with the lasting effects of trauma. Trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), she uses a person-centered approach that is tailored to each client’s goals, needs, and preferences. As a licensed clinical social worker in Texas – authorized to provide psychotherapy (TX LCSW 58628) – Deborah works with clients to reduce emotional and psychological distress so it does not control their lives.
For many common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes – online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One clear advantage is convenience and flexibility. Clients can choose the communication method that fits their needs – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – making it easier to integrate therapy into a busy schedule.
These services are provided by licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they need a different fit.
