Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I originally trained as an integrative counsellor which enabled me to gain a knowledge of different modalities and how these can be used in order to be able to meet the individual needs of my clients. Since that time I have added other courses to my qualifications including becoming a clinical supervisor and recently completing a research paper on working with suicidal clients. I primarily work in a client centred manner while retaining an understanding of other counselling modalities which means that I always aim to ensure my clients needs and wishes are paramount in the work that we do together. I believe this enables me to create a safe space for my clients where they feel able to relax and enter into the therapeutic relationship.
I have been working for a number of years as a counsellor both in private practice and for different organisations and charities. This includes working in schools with young people, delivering therapy through EAP organisations and working for the rape centre. These experiences have enabled me to develop a knowledge of a number of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship problems, PTSD and trauma.

Dawn Redwood trained as an integrative counsellor, developing an understanding of several therapeutic approaches and how to apply them to meet individual needs. She later added further qualifications, becoming a clinical supervisor – providing oversight and support to other practitioners – and has recently completed a research paper on working with suicidal clients.
Her work is mainly client-centred while drawing on other counselling modalities, and she places clients’ needs and wishes at the heart of the therapeutic process. This approach supports the creation of a safe space in which clients can feel able to relax and engage in the relationship.
Across five years of practice Dawn has worked in private practice and with a range of organisations and charities, including schools with young people, employee assistance programmes, and a rape centre. Those roles have helped her build experience supporting people with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, PTSD, and other trauma-related concerns.
Many people wonder whether connecting with a therapist online can make a meaningful difference. For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or coping with life changes – online therapy has been shown to be comparable to traditional in-person work.
One key benefit is flexibility. Clients can choose the format that suits them best – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life and to engage in the way that feels most comfortable.
Therapists offering online sessions are licensed professionals, and if someone feels a different fit would help they may switch to another therapist at any time. This combination of proven effectiveness and practical convenience is why many people find online therapy a helpful option for addressing everyday mental health needs.
