Christian Waller is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned a master’s degree from Augusta University in 2017 and has provided individual and group therapy to children, teens, and adults since graduation.
Christian Waller’s primary focus is on processing trauma and reducing the effects of traumatic stress, though he also works with anxiety, depression, OCD, and concerns related to discovering or exploring sexuality and gender expression, as well as other issues clients bring to session.
Trained in several evidence-based approaches, Christian Waller incorporates techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to shape a tailored plan for each person. In Trauma-Focused CBT he learned the ABCs and emphasizes how affect, behaviors, and cognitions interact in shaping experience.
He places importance on setting meaningful goals in therapy, using both short-term and long-term objectives to maintain focus while recognizing that goals can be adjusted as progress and priorities evolve. Christian Waller values offering options and helping clients see more choices than they initially expected.
Christian Waller treats everyone with respect and compassion regardless of gender, age, sexuality, or other differences, and he aims to create a safe space where individual needs can be understood and addressed. He is licensed to practice in Georgia as a Licensed Professional Counselor, holding the state LPC credential (license number LPC012689).
