Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced psychotherapist/counsellor specialising in anxiety, depression, sexual abuse, trauma, PTSD and CPTSD, bereavement and loss, and relationship issues. I also have extensive experience of working within men’s mental health, in particularly historic sexual abuse. Whilst specialising in these areas, I also have experience in other non-specific difficulties that people face. Each of the people I work with has their own life experiences and their own individual, unique difficulties, all of which are as important as those which I have listed.
I am registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to their Ethical Code of Practice. I work in a humanistic, person-centred way and offer a safe place to explore and make sense of your difficulties, in a calm and unhurried environment.
The type of therapy that I work with puts you at the centre of your experience and enables you to find your own way, in a non-judgemental, empathic, and confidential environment. I will help you to heal from your pain and enable you to move forward to where you want to be in your life whilst supporting you through every step of your journey and enabling you to become the person that you want to be.

In initial contact she will explain what typically happens in sessions, the kinds of topics that may be explored, likely outcomes of therapy and, where needed, how to connect in future.
She works with a wide range of concerns including abuse, addictions, anxiety, depression, stress, trauma and PTSD, relationship and family issues, anger, grief, intimacy-related and sex-related issues, self-esteem, career and work-related problems, and coping with life changes. She is experienced in supporting LGBT clients as well as specific men’s and women’s issues.
Cheryl is a female therapist who is gay, older, non-religious and identifies as liberal. She aims to offer supportive, professional therapy tailored to each individual’s needs.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
A major benefit of online therapy is flexibility – you can connect in the way that works best for you, whether that is a video call, a phone session, live chat or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life and to choose the format that feels most comfortable.
Therapists offering online work are licensed professionals, and if you ever feel a different fit is needed you can switch to another therapist. Online therapy provides a practical, accessible route to professional support for many common mental health and wellbeing concerns.
