Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am licensed in the UK with 3 years of professional work experience. I have experience helping clients with neurodiversity, LGBTQ+ issues, anxiety, depression, family conflicts, trauma, abuse, and grief and loss. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgement. Therapy can feel like a scary place, fear of opening up deep wounds. Taking the first step takes courage!
I decided to train as a counsellor after completing a psychology degree as I found I was drawn to counselling rather than clinical psychology.
I volunteered as a counsellor at a school for young people aged between 11 – 18 years. This experience enabled me to gain a deeper understanding of young people and the challenges they face.
My core approach is Person-Centred counselling, as I feel that you can reach your potential through making decisions based on your own understanding of the self. This is facilitated by me listening to you and allowing you the space to explore your feelings and make sense of what is going on for you. I am here to sit alongside what feelings you bring to the session, and to understand your experiencing and how this is impacting you. For us to get a good understanding of what is going on for you, it is important for you to be allowed to bring your wholeself to the session and for you to feel comfortable in doing so.
My couples counselling has a focus on solution-based therapy, emotional focused therapy, transactional analysis, dialectical behaviour therapy and attachment theory. Using approaches to support the couple to move into a deeper understanding of themselves individually and as a couple. With a focus on what they want to achieve together and how to get there.

Carol Saker is a UK-licensed counsellor with three years of professional experience. She has supported people with neurodiversity, LGBTQ+ issues, anxiety, depression, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, and grief and loss.
Carol aims to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be explored without fear of judgment. She recognises that beginning therapy can feel daunting and that taking the first step often requires courage.
After completing a degree in psychology, Carol trained as a counsellor because she was drawn to the practice of counselling rather than clinical psychology. She also volunteered as a counsellor at a school for young people aged 11 to 18, an experience that deepened her understanding of the challenges young people face.
Her core method is Person-Centred counselling, which emphasises helping individuals make choices informed by their own understanding of themselves. In this approach Carol listens attentively and provides space for clients to explore their feelings and make sense of what is happening for them, encouraging them to bring their whole selves to sessions.
In couples work she uses a combination of solution-based therapy, emotional focused therapy, transactional analysis, dialectical behaviour therapy and attachment theory. These approaches are applied to help couples develop a deeper awareness of themselves as individuals and as partners, with a clear focus on what they want to achieve together and how to get there.
For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or coping with life changes – online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
A major benefit of remote therapy is flexibility. People can connect in the way that suits them best – via video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
All therapists involved are licensed professionals, and if someone decides they would prefer a different therapeutic fit they may switch to another therapist at any time.
