Hi!
I am a professional counselor licensed in the state of Michigan and certified in Michigan as a supervisor of limited licensed counselors working toward full licensure. I have worked in the human services field for 25 years and specifically as a therapist for the last 19 after procuring a Master of Sciences degree in Counseling from National Louis University in 2001.

I have also worked with psychosis counseling and diagnosis/ referral to psychiatric assessment.
I believe in the importance of warmth, unconditional positive regard and developing a therapeutic bond based in trust and respect for counseling to be most effective. I utilize an eclectic approach based on an individuals needs and goals utilizing such therapies as Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioral, Existential Based, Family Systems and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Please know you are doing the right thing and research reveals that simply taking actions to address our problems can lead to significant benefit in the process of healing. Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Many people wonder whether remote counseling truly helps. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and navigating life transitions, research shows that online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person care for most individuals.

One major benefit is convenience. Clients can meet with a therapist in the format that fits their schedule and comfort level – video sessions, phone appointments, live chat, or messaging within an app – which makes it easier to maintain consistency and build momentum in treatment.

Therapists who provide online care are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change providers if they feel a different match would be better. This flexibility can help people access the support they need and keep therapy aligned with their goals.

For many, online therapy offers an effective, adaptable way to address everyday mental health concerns and to take actionable steps toward improved well-being.
