Alison Bubbins

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

Hi I’m Alison.
I’m a little bit of a quirky counsellor (think crazy hair and tattoos) who works in an open, down-to-earth way. My style is rooted in authenticity, and I believe therapy should feel like a safe, honest space where you can fully be yourself – no judgement, no pressure, no pretending.
I work integratively, drawing from person-centred therapy, CBT, and psychotherapy to shape my work around you. I don’t believe in working “on” you; I work with you. Our sessions are collaborative and I’ll always meet you where you are, not where anyone else thinks you should be. I’m open to all lifestyles and identities, and I use humour where it feels right – because sometimes a little lightness can go a long way.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, ADHD or autism, or want to explore kink or fetish related topics in a safe and affirming space, you’ll be met with respect, honesty and confidentiality.
Creating a sense of safety and freedom is at the heart of my work – because real change happens when we feel truly seen and accepted.

I am currently only able to accept live chat clients (I’m a mum, my children are on school holidays, and it can be a little unpredictably noisy and chaotic).

About

Alison Bubbins is a counsellor who brings a warm, down-to-earth presence and a touch of quirkiness – think crazy hair and tattoos – to her therapeutic work. She practices with authenticity and creates an honest space where people can be themselves without judgement or pressure.

She works integratively, drawing on person-centred therapy, CBT, and psychotherapy to shape sessions around each individual’s needs. Alison prefers collaboration over working “on” someone, meeting clients where they are rather than where others think they should be.

Alison is open to all lifestyles and identities and uses humour where it feels appropriate, believing a bit of lightness can support deeper change. She supports people navigating anxiety, trauma, ADHD or autism, and offers a safe, affirming setting to explore kink or fetish topics, always with respect and honesty.

Creating a sense of safety and freedom sits at the heart of her approach because meaningful change often follows when someone feels truly seen and accepted. Alison has 3 years of experience and is based in the United Kingdom. She is currently only able to accept live chat clients as she is a mum and her children are on school holidays, which can make her home environment unpredictably noisy and chaotic.

Is Online Therapy the Right Fit for Your Needs?

For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or major life changes – online therapy can be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions. For those kinds of issues, remote therapy often provides outcomes comparable to face-to-face work.

One of the main benefits is flexibility. Clients can connect in the way that suits them best – via video calls, telephone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy routine.

Therapists offering online work are licensed professionals, and clients can change therapists at any time if they would like a different fit. That flexibility can make it simpler to find a therapeutic relationship that supports personal goals and wellbeing.
