Hi, I am Paul Weaver a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. I work with individuals, couples, and families that are experiencing distress, difficulty, & challenges related to relational issues and emotional distresses. I have worked as a private practice clinician for 5 years and have experience working with an array of issues such as; adjustment difficulties & life transitions, anxiety & depression, PTSD, sexuality & intimacy, trauma, and addiction.
As a Marriage & Family Therapist I am specialized in looking for ways to find connection and emotional wellness in times of grief, suffering, and dysfunction in ways that help my clients find ways forward, enact change, or find security, and stabilization in the midst of pain and distress. I am a client centered therapist and my therapeutic approach is informed by Emotional Focused Therapy. What this means is that my hope as a clinician is offer a space of safety for my clients so that their needs and desires can be heard and interacted with.
There is no “one size fits all” strategy to therapy and the most important feature to any therapist is their ability to see & hear you and your unique situation.
