Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello. I’m Gerry a BACP Accredited therapist based in the UK.
I have 16 years clinical practice.
I am trained to Master’s level in Person Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy and have worked in a Higher Education Setting for 16 years. In my capacity as a University counsellor I work with young people aged 18-25 years and have a good understanding of the difficulties they face including balancing transitions, homesickness, independence, study and financial responsibilities. I also work with PGR and PGT students.
Further to this, I have worked for many years with all University Staff, academics, cleaners, lecturers, administrators, security, and have a thorough understanding of how work stress affects daily functioning. I can help to offer support in establishing healthy boundaries and identifying changes one may need to make to establish a happier and more satisfying workplace,
My work is underpinned by Carl Roger’s ‘core Conditions’ of Person-Centred Therapy, Empathy, Congruence and Unconditional Positive Regard and I always operate within the Ethical Framework of the BACP. Drawing on Mindfulness and Solution Focussed Therapy, I am able to help people manage their emotional health and make positive change.
Research has shown that the therapeutic relationship is central to effective therapy, therefore I believe it is important to choose the right counsellor for you. I work in a collaborative way to help you recognise your strengths or any blocks that are preventing you from achieving your full potential.
What I offer is a warm, professional, non-judgmental and confidential space to explore what is going on in your life.
Therapy gives you the opportunity to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviour so that you can develop a better understanding of yourself and others.
I also have experience of working with ASD and ADHD. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.

Many people ask whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and coping with life changes, research indicates that remote therapy is comparable in effectiveness to traditional face-to-face sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility. Clients can choose the format that suits them best – video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging – which makes it simpler to fit therapy into a busy routine.
Each participating therapist is a licensed professional, and clients may change therapists at any time if they prefer a different fit. This flexibility and the variety of contact methods make online therapy a practical option for many people seeking support.
