Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Are you tired of the typical run of the mill recovery program? Do you want an alternative to AA/NA directed recovery or are you looking to supplement your AA/NA recovery program? If yes then I am your match!
I am the most open minded therapist you will meet. I know how much strength and courage it takes to reach out for help because I myself was once like you. I know how it feels to reveal your vulnerabilities to a complete stranger; and I am living proof that therapy works.
My name is Shannon Gaiser MA, LPC, CAADC, CDDAP and have been a practicing therapist since 2004. I have 17 years of experience with specialties in addiction and co-occuring disorders. I am in recovery from opiate addiction and can understand the special needs of these clients. I practice using client centered, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques. I am open to alternatives to the traditional recovery programs including medication assisted treatment and medical marijuana treatment. I believe everyone’s path to a better life is individual.
I have worked 9 years in inpatient/outpatient rehabs and 8 years as a private practice therapist for a suboxone doctor. I have experience with depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, bi-polar d/p, sexual abuse issues and trauma. My experiences have also lead me to work with family recovery to help promote healthy boundaries. I am available for texts, video, and voice sessions. I typically will respond to messages within 5 hours, but could be longer on weekends.
It would be my honor to start the journey with you. I will get in the trenches with you and we will find the light together. I look forward to working with you!

Shannon Gaiser is a compassionate, open-minded therapist who specializes in addiction and co-occurring disorders while also supporting people with stress, anxiety, depression, relationship and family conflicts, trauma, grief, parenting challenges, anger management, self-esteem concerns, career difficulties, bipolar disorder, and coping with life changes.
She holds a master’s degree and is a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania (license number PC004686). With 17 years of clinical experience, Shannon draws on client-centered approaches, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral therapy to tailor treatment to each person’s needs.

She is open to alternatives to traditional 12-step programs and will consider medication-assisted treatment and medical marijuana as part of an individualized recovery plan.
Her background includes nine years working in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings and eight years providing private-practice therapy alongside a suboxone-prescribing physician. She has experience addressing PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, sexual abuse and trauma, and she often supports families in establishing healthy boundaries during recovery.
Shannon offers flexible session formats, including text, video, and voice sessions, and typically responds to messages within about five hours, with response times possibly longer on weekends.
She aims to work collaboratively and directly with clients, meeting them in the difficult moments and helping them find a clearer path forward. Shannon welcomes the opportunity to begin that journey with new clients.
Many people wonder whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life transitions, online therapy has been found to be as effective as traditional in-person care for most people.
One of the primary benefits is convenience. Clients can choose the format that suits them best – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
These services are provided by licensed professionals, and if someone decides the fit is not right, it is usually possible to switch therapists. Online therapy offers practical flexibility while delivering therapeutic approaches that address everyday mental health needs.
