My name is Zelimna Taveras. I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I have over 8 years of counseling experience. I have worked with children, adolescents, families, and adults with a wide range of concerns including trauma and abuse, coping with grief and loss, depression, parenting issues, self-esteem, anxiety, and anger management.
My counseling approach is trauma-focused-CBT, CBT, strength-based, motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused. My focus has been working with children, adolescents, and families impacted by trauma. I also have experience in working with at risk youths, social services, children with special needs, and homeless families. I have training in Trauma-Focused CBT, Play Therapy, CBT, as well as certification in Trauma-Focused CBT and Infant Mental Health-Attachment Therapy.
I have a passion for helping others and providing a safe and non-judgmental environment for my clients to express themselves. Therapy is an alliance of hope, in which I am committed in empowering you to make healthy decisions as you travel on the journey of wellness and stability.
