Ylenia Ceccarelli is a relationship counsellor who works with individuals and couples to navigate relationship difficulties, improve communication, and build stronger connections.
She is an accredited member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and maintains professional standards that create a safe, supportive, and confidential space for clients. Originally from Lazio, Italy, Ylenia moved to the United Kingdom ten years ago to pursue her interest in relationship therapy.
Her academic background includes a degree in Psychosocial Studies and training in the Principles of Psychodynamic Counselling. She also served as a Samaritans volunteer leader, providing emotional support to people in distress. To specialise in couples work she completed a Level 5 Diploma in Relationship Counselling, a CPCAB-accredited programme delivered by Relate, the UK’s leading relationship support organisation.
Ylenia combines Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) with systemic techniques, helping clients recognise patterns, process emotions, and develop healthier ways of relating. She tailors each session to the individual or relational goals presented, and offers support with communication difficulties and emotional disconnect, trust issues and healing after betrayal, recurring conflicts and negative cycles, major life transitions such as parenthood, separation or relocation, strengthening emotional and physical intimacy, and overcoming self-doubt, anxiety and relationship-related stress.
Fluent in both English and Italian, she keeps her practice current through continuing professional development and attendance at BACP conferences. Empathy, trust, and confidentiality are central to her work. Ylenia also shares practical relationship insights on her Instagram channel, “Ylenia Therapy,” and more information is available at www.yleniatherapy.co.uk.
