Tyneshia “Ty” Brooks is a licensed clinical counselor based in Nevada who focuses on helping people navigate relationship challenges, family conflicts, intimacy concerns, self-esteem struggles, stress and anxiety, parenting and career difficulties, depression, and major life transitions.
She holds professional counseling licenses in both Arizona and Nevada and brings 10 years of clinical experience to her practice. Tyneshia has served as the clinical director at several community mental health clinics and for the past nine years has maintained a private practice where she has worked with clients from diverse backgrounds with strong outcomes.
For eight years she has worked with the State of Nevada supporting people with intellectual disabilities and related diagnoses, demonstrating an ability to engage clients who may be resistant or unsure about the changes they need to make.
Tyneshia works with individuals, groups, couples, and families using a range of therapeutic approaches. She integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), client-centered therapy, reality therapy, and other modalities to tailor treatment to each person’s needs.
Her practice includes collaboration with interdisciplinary professionals across social services, including doctors, lawyers, the courts, DCFS, community case managers, psychiatrists, psychologists, and fellow therapists. She is also open to incorporating religious practices, prayer, meditation, and spiritual healing techniques when those approaches support a client’s healing goals.
Many people ask whether online therapy can produce meaningful results. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, and navigating life changes, online therapy has been found to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions for most individuals.
A key benefit is flexibility - clients can connect in the way that fits their life, choosing video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to keep appointments and integrate therapy into a busy schedule.
Licensed professionals provide care through remote formats, and clients are free to switch therapists if they are seeking a different fit. For many people facing day-to-day challenges, relationship issues, or transitions, online therapy offers a practical and effective option to begin or continue their work on mental health goals.
