Taij Johnson brings seven years of experience in mental health, building a career that began with entry-level work while still in high school. Early hands-on roles included supporting people as a personal care worker in group home and assisted living settings and serving as a high-risk intervention technician in schools.
After graduating college, Taij continued this commitment to helping others as a Protective Services Social Worker. Those front-line experiences inspired Taij to pursue graduate training and earn a Master of Arts in Counseling, eventually becoming a fully licensed clinical counselor.
Taij is licensed to practice counseling in both South Carolina and North Carolina, and offers a client-centered approach that adapts to each person’s needs. He draws on a range of therapeutic methods - including cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, trauma-focused, solution-focused, humanistic, and rational-emotive approaches - and aims to meet individuals where they are to support them in finding greater peace and reaching their potential.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly make a difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or adjusting to life changes, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person care for many individuals.
One key advantage is flexibility - clients can connect in the format that suits them best, whether through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This makes it simpler to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
Therapists available for online work are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they feel a different fit would be helpful.
