Dr. Robin Miller earned a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University, a Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Webster University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rollins College. She practices as a licensed mental health counselor in Florida and brings seven years of clinical experience to her private practice.
Her early training included an internship providing psychological services to teens and young mothers in a pregnancy program and work as a substance abuse counselor with adults. After completing her master’s degree she entered private practice full time.
Before focusing on clinical practice, Dr. Miller taught high school psychology. She also works in higher education as an adjunct instructor at Eastern Florida State College, where she teaches general psychology and basic counseling skills, and she teaches various undergraduate and graduate courses at South College.
In clinical work her primary focus is anxiety and depression, and she often works with people who feel stuck or who hold a negative outlook on life. Her goal is to help clients gain clarity about their situations and to build practical skills that support finding meaning and purpose.
Dr. Miller uses an eclectic approach, combining cognitive-behavioral techniques to challenge unhelpful thinking with mindfulness activities when appropriate. She treats each person as an individual and adapts treatment methods to fit the client’s needs. Guiding someone through their journey into wellness is an experience she finds especially rewarding.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can make a real difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or adjusting to life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
A key advantage is flexibility - individuals can connect with a therapist in the format that fits their needs and schedule, whether by video call, phone, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to maintain consistency and integrate therapy into daily life.
Licensed professionals provide these services, and if a different therapeutic fit is needed it is possible to change therapists. For many people facing everyday mental health challenges, online therapy provides an accessible and practical option to pursue support and progress.
