Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I have been working with Betterhelp now since May 2023 i am licensed in the UK and also have 3 years of professional work experience before starting with Betterhelp.
I have experience in helping clients with relationship issues, trauma and abuse, intimacy related issues, & depression. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
I offer you a non judgemental and supportive environment and will hold space for you in our sessions. We can work together towards a clearer understanding and acceptance of past life events that can not be changed, but go forward with some clarity and acceptance that will enable you to take back your power and become the person you were always meant to be.
Whilst I was training to be a Counsellor I had a wide range of placements. I first started working with adult survivors of sexual abuse, I then worked for an organisation called Pete’s Dragons that offers a range of support to families and loved ones bereaved by suicide.
After lockdown I supported Care workers and I then finished off my placement hours working for an organisation called Alabare that support clients who have been homeless whilst they are in supported accommodation. I have clients that I see through my private practice who come to therapy with a wide range of issues as well.

Nicola Claydon has worked with Betterhelp since May 2023 and is licensed in the United Kingdom. Prior to joining Betterhelp she completed three years of professional work experience in counselling and related support roles.
She has experience supporting people with relationship difficulties, trauma and abuse, intimacy-related concerns, and depression. Nicola approaches therapy with the belief that each person is the expert on their own story and carries strengths that can help them overcome current challenges. She recognises that taking the first step toward a more fulfilling and happier life requires courage and aims to support clients through that process.
In sessions Nicola offers a non-judgemental, supportive space and strives to hold room for clients as they explore their experiences. Together she works toward greater understanding and acceptance of past events that cannot be changed, while helping clients regain a sense of agency and move toward becoming the person they were meant to be.
During her training Nicola completed a range of placements. She began working with adult survivors of sexual abuse, then supported families and loved ones bereaved by suicide with an organisation called Pete’s Dragons. After lockdown she provided support to care workers and completed placement hours with Alabare, assisting people who had been homeless while they lived in supported accommodation. Nicola also sees clients in private practice who come with a wide variety of concerns.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or managing life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can choose the mode of connection that suits them best, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This variety makes it easier to fit therapy into busy or changing schedules.
Therapists offering online services are licensed professionals, and individuals have the option to switch therapists if they would like a different fit. For many people, online therapy provides a practical and effective way to access consistent support and make progress on the issues that matter to them.
