About

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia with over 10 years of experience in private practice. I am a Certified Telehealth Mental Health Counselor and have provided online sessions since 2020 that Covid -19 and pandemic started. I continued with Telehealth sessions because it enabled me to cover rural areas in Georgia, as well as helping clients who struggle with commute to the therapist’s office, or they need more flexibility due to their work schedules or family obligations.

I hold two Master’s degrees, Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. I work with clients from diverse backgrounds and wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, ADD, relationship issues, dating, parenting issues, career choice and challenges, immigration and adjustments, cultural struggles, attachments and codependency, narcissistic abuse, mood disorders, and phobias.

My therapy style is warm and interactive and my clients leave their sessions feeling more hopeful and more courageous to take steps towards their treatment goals, harmony, and peace.

I meet my clients where they are in their lives and help them to identify their strengths and weaknesses. Through positive regards and unbiased therapeutically relationship, my clients find courage to re-examine their lives and their thoughts and feelings about themselves and others, to come up with new narratives that leads them to a more fulfilling life.

My approach in therapy is researched based that is supported by years of studies and various psychological theories. I use many psychological theories, approaches, and techniques such as Adlerian therapy, CBT, narrative therapy, solution focused, etc to assist my clients.

I believe healing starts from loving yourself and having the courage to change what has not worked so far.

I look forward to work with you and help you find that piece of puzzle that is missing in your life.

I provide therapy to individuals and families, LGBTQ community, college students, and immigrant families.

I speak English and Farsi.

About

Nazila Aghazadeh is a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing in Georgia who brings more than 10 years of experience in private practice. She holds two master’s degrees, one in Clinical Psychology and another in Mental Health Counseling, and is certified to provide telehealth services as a Certified Telehealth Mental Health Counselor as well as a Certified National Counselor.

Nazila began offering online sessions in 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic started and has continued telehealth work because it allowed her to reach rural areas of Georgia and to help people who face long commutes or need greater scheduling flexibility due to work or family responsibilities. She provides therapy to individuals and families, the LGBTQ community, college students, and immigrant families.

Her clinical work covers a wide range of concerns, including stress, anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD and ADD, relationship and intimacy-related issues, parenting difficulties, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, narcissistic abuse, mood disorders, phobias, cultural and immigration adjustments, attachment and codependency struggles, career challenges, coping with life changes, self-esteem problems, and compassion fatigue.

Nazila uses a warm, interactive approach in sessions and draws on evidence-informed methods from several schools of thought, such as Adlerian therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and solution-focused techniques. She meets clients where they are, helps identify strengths and areas for growth, and supports clients in reshaping unhelpful narratives so they can move toward greater harmony and fulfillment.

She describes healing as beginning with self-compassion and the willingness to make changes when what has been tried so far has not helped. Nazila speaks English and Farsi and is licensed in Georgia (licensed as a Professional Counselor in Georgia, GA LPC LPC010683), a credential that reflects her state licensure and professional qualifications.

Is Online Therapy the Right Choice for Your Mental Health Journey?

Many people wonder whether remote therapy can produce meaningful results. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions. A major benefit of online treatment is the added flexibility it provides. Clients can connect with therapists using the method that feels most comfortable to them – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit care into busy schedules. Online therapy also helps remove geographic barriers, enabling licensed professionals to reach people in rural areas or those who have challenges with commuting. Therapists are licensed professionals, and if someone feels another provider would be a better fit, they have the option to switch to a different therapist. Overall, online therapy offers a flexible, evidence-informed way to address many common mental health and relationship concerns while accommodating the practical realities of daily life.
