Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello, my name is Monique Parr. I am licensed in the state of North Carolina as Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor #13017. In 2004, I obtained a bachelors’ degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Fayetteville State University. Since obtaining my bachelor’s degree, the field of providing mental health services has been my passion. For over 10 years, I provided direct care and 4 years providing management and administrative functions, which include program management, quality and compliance/risk management, human resources obligations, and financial reporting. In 2014, I obtained a Master’s of Science degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University.
Entering therapy is a personal choice in which we will engage in a therapeutic intimate relationship where we discuss personal and emotional issues. The primary goal is to foster trust between the two of us in order to have successful, effective and efficient outcomes during the therapy process. My integral role is to do you no harm, to motivate for change, and to support your decisions and choices. I will serve as an advocate, to pay attention to detail. It is my goal to an account for your physical, emotional, mental, social, and cultural, political, and spiritual dynamics in your life. My theoretical orientation is a Holistic, Person Centered, Cognitive Behavioral, Transtheoretical and relationship-oriented approach to therapy.
I think I can help by displaying an environment that welcomes change, warmth, empathic understanding, genuineness and acceptance. It is important to develop and foster autonomy and freedom of choice with my clients. Far more importantly, one feels safe in the therapeutic relationship to explore the hidden parts of yourself. Empowering others to become the true authentic self.
I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Many people wonder whether virtual counseling can produce real results. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is convenience and flexibility – individuals can connect in the way that suits them best, whether through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule and to continue care during transitions.
Licensed professionals provide online therapy, and clients have the option to switch therapists at any time if a different fit is desired. For many people facing everyday concerns, remote counseling is a practical and effective route to support and progress.
