Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
My name is Mondie Gonzales and I am a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) in the state of Ohio. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1992 and then a Masters in Social Work in 1999. I have worked with kids and families in a community mental health setting for most of my 30 year career as a mental health professional. I opened a private practice, working with individuals, couples and families 10 years ago. I utilize many different modalities and techniques, depending on your needs and goals. Throughout these experiences I have discovered that the most important aspect of any therapeutic relationship is the relationship! I believe that you are the expert in your own life and my role is to help you implement the changes you are hoping to make.
My goal is to help individuals and families gain or improve their life skills in order to make the best choices for what they want to accomplish. My focus as a practitioner is to help you know what you want, name it and define what it looks like, so that you can live your life in a way that moves you toward that goal. I believe that everything in your life intertwines to create your life story and that we all have control over our destiny. I believe in making informed choices, setting appropriate boundaries, and accepting responsibility.

She completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 1992 and earned a Master of Social Work in 1999. Much of her career has involved working with children and families in community mental health settings, and she opened a private practice a decade ago to focus on individualized care.

Her practice centers on helping people and families develop or strengthen life skills so they can make intentional choices. She guides clients to clarify what they want, name it and define what it looks like so they can take steps toward those goals. She views life as an interconnected story shaped by the choices people make, and she encourages informed decision-making, appropriate boundaries and accepting responsibility as part of that process.
Mondie holds clinical social work licenses in both Ohio and Oregon; her Ohio credential includes independent clinical and supervisory authorization. She practices from Ohio and works with clients across a range of concerns including trauma and abuse, grief, parenting issues, anger management, ADHD, stress, anxiety, LGBT concerns, relationship and family conflicts, intimacy and self-esteem challenges, career difficulties, depression, coping with life changes, and compassion fatigue.
Many people ask whether meeting with a therapist online can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges or managing life transitions, research and practice have found online therapy to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
One of the primary benefits is flexibility – individuals can choose the format that fits their schedule and comfort level, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. This range of options can make it easier to keep therapy consistent amid busy or changing lives.
Licensed professionals provide online services, and clients may change therapists if they feel a different match would work better. For many people, accessibility and the ability to connect in multiple ways make online therapy a practical and effective option.
