Michelle Tiger is a licensed clinical social worker in Pennsylvania who provides compassionate, client-centered therapy and coaching. She has four years of clinical experience working with adults and focuses on building a non-judgmental space where clients can identify and pursue their goals.
She works with a broad range of concerns, including relationship issues, trauma and abuse, parenting challenges, depression, coping with life changes, stress and anxiety, addictions, LGBT-related concerns, family conflict, grief, intimacy-related issues, sleeping disorders, anger management, self-esteem struggles, career difficulties, and bipolar disorder. Michelle also offers coaching around job searching and employment challenges.
Prior to her current clinical work, Michelle supported adults ages 18 through older adulthood who had physical and/or behavioral health diagnoses or disabilities. Her earlier roles included work in aging services, adult day programs, community re-entry, hospice, home care, and related settings. She has experience working with individuals in correctional facilities.
Her approach is warm, supportive, and centered on the individual. Michelle uses evidence-based methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, and problem-solving therapy, and she is trained in CBT for insomnia. She encourages small, sustainable changes in movement, exercise, and nutrition to support whole-person well-being, and she sees change as an incremental process. As an LGBTQ+ ally, she aims to help clients move toward healthier, more satisfying lives while respecting each person’s pace and goals.
Many people ask whether remote counseling can make a meaningful difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or major life transitions, online therapy has been found to be comparably effective to traditional in-person sessions.
A major benefit is flexible access - individuals can meet with their therapist in the format that best fits their life, whether that is through video conversations, phone calls, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it simpler to keep therapy consistent amid busy schedules.
Sessions are delivered by licensed professionals, and if someone decides they would prefer a different match, switching therapists is an option. Online therapy can be a practical and effective way to address everyday mental health needs while fitting treatment into the routines of daily life.
