Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Take a deep breath.
As you do that, allow yourself to think, feel and know that:
You are loved,
You are important,
You are valuable.
I promise to give you a safe and respectful haven in all my counselling sessions.
You can have the space and freedom to start from the inside, allowing you to explore things you can’t talk to other people about.
Before I tell you how you can do that, you should know I’ve been where you are…
I struggled through a painful time in my life where I lost my voice. I worked with a therapist to find myself and began growing in confidence and value for myself.
Once I did this – the freedom was life changing so this is why I now choose to help others find that freedom they deserve.
If you’re wondering…
How to find your own freedom, here’s how I can make that easier for you:
• I use creative interventions, so that you can get from ‘A to B’ faster.
Our brains work more creatively when we’re not actively thinking. This other part of our mind can resolve things faster than more traditional talking therapy.
• Your own beliefs may be really important to you and we’ll use them to help you move forward. This allows you to move forward with freedom.
• My highest values are empathy, honesty and trust.
This creates the safest space possible in the counselling room, so that you’ll feel secure enough to open up about what truly matters to you.
As a person of faith, I also offer Christian counselling and counsel within your own religion/ values and beliefs systems.
I look forward to embarking on this new journey with you…

Melisha Pillay invites people to pause, breathe, and remember that they are loved, important, and valuable. She creates a respectful, supportive setting in which clients can begin from the inside and explore matters they may not feel able to discuss with others.
Melisha speaks from personal experience. She went through a time when she felt she had lost her voice and later worked with a therapist to rediscover herself, grow in confidence and recognise her own worth. That transformation felt life changing, and it guides her decision to help others find the same freedom.
In her practice she uses creative interventions to help clients move from where they are to where they want to be more efficiently. Melisha explains that parts of the mind can work creatively when clients are not actively thinking, and she draws on that process alongside conversational work.
She works with a wide range of concerns including stress, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, self-esteem, depression, addictions, family and parenting difficulties, grief, intimacy-related issues, eating and sleeping problems, anger, career questions, bipolar disorder, ADHD, coping with life changes, coaching, and compassion fatigue. Melisha also identifies as a therapist of colour, a female therapist, and a Christian counsellor.
Her highest values are empathy, honesty and trust, which she brings into the counselling space so clients can feel secure enough to open up about what matters most to them. As a person of faith she offers Christian counselling and can work within a client’s own religious or value system.
Melisha is based in the United Kingdom and has 4 years of experience providing therapy. She looks forward to supporting people as they begin that journey toward greater self-understanding and freedom.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can really make a difference. For everyday concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most common issues.
One of the main advantages is flexibility – you can connect in the format that fits your life and feels most comfortable. Options commonly include video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging, which can make it easier to sustain regular work with a therapist.
These services are provided by licensed professionals and therapists, and if someone wants a different fit they can switch to another practitioner. Online therapy can therefore offer an accessible, adaptable route to support while keeping the same core therapeutic goals as face-to-face work.
