Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Are you socially anxious, stressed or overwhelmed? Are you struggling with life challenges? Perhaps you are facing relationship difficulties or family tensions. Do you struggle with a narcissistic family member? Do you feel stuck and going around in circles as if nothing was ever going to change? Therapy can help.
Being in the helping profession for 14 years gave me a deeper level of understanding of problems that we all can face at any point in life and allows me to help more clients each day.
I work with clients who experience anxiety, panic attacks and depression but also with people who experienced abuse and are currently moving on from abusive relationships or dealing with past traumas. I also work with clients who feel stuck and can’t seem to be able to move forward with their lives. I use my experience and qualifications to help.
I understand life can be difficult at times and we all need some added support from time to time. I offer therapy which is suited to your needs and will provide a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space where you can discover effective ways to support yourself and create a better life.
I’m an integrative therapist and I use Person-Centred counselling techniques or Psychodynamic theory depending upon the needs of the individual client, rather than using one counselling approach throughout a client’s therapy experience.
What to expect in your first session: Approaching the idea of starting therapy for the first time, or again, can be an uncertain place to be in. The first counselling session gives you space to get to know me better and ask therapy-related questions you feel are important in making your decision.
It is also where you can tell me more about yourself and why you want to come into counselling.

Maria Palej is an integrative therapist based in the United Kingdom with six years of experience supporting people through a range of life challenges. She works with individuals who experience anxiety, panic attacks and depression, as well as those recovering from abuse, navigating past trauma, or coping with addiction and intimacy-related issues.
Maria also supports clients facing relationship difficulties, family tensions, problems with a narcissistic family member, parenting concerns, grief, career stress and transitions, and struggles with self-esteem, sleep, or eating. Her approach is adaptable to each person’s needs and aims to help those who feel stuck or overwhelmed find a way forward.
She offers a therapeutic space that is non-judgmental and respectful, where clients can explore practical ways to support themselves and create change. As an integrative practitioner, Maria draws on Person-Centred counselling techniques or Psychodynamic theory depending on what each client needs, rather than applying a single method throughout treatment.
For a first session Maria provides time to introduce herself and answer questions about therapy, while inviting clients to share more about why they have sought counselling. That initial meeting is intended to help people decide whether to continue and to set the groundwork for future sessions.
For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life changes – online therapy can be as effective as traditional face-to-face sessions. Research and clinical experience indicate that remote work with a therapist often produces similar benefits for these issues.
One major advantage of online therapy is flexibility. Clients can connect in the format that suits them best – video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule or to access support from different locations.
All therapists involved are licensed professionals, and clients are free to change therapists if they feel a different fit would be more helpful. For many people, the combination of convenience and professional support makes online therapy a practical option to consider on their path toward better mental health.
