I have always found it exciting as a therapist to enter into a helping situation by
Understanding it, then Processing it, Exploring its intensity, then setting some goals to problem solve the issue(s).
I specialize in solution focused counseling and coaching, Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, reality orientation treatment, and here and now work.
I look forward to working with you if you enjoy a focused journey to solutions. I will offer a climate of non-judgement, respect, interest and acceptance in you as a thinker and problem solver in your life. I believe you have the answers they just need to be coaxed out and used. I am here to empower you in solutions to your stressors.

She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from Wayne State University and practices as a licensed master social worker in Michigan. Her clinical work has addressed a wide range of concerns, including stress, anxiety, anger management, self-esteem and career difficulties, depression, relationship and family conflicts, grief and intimacy-related issues, and bipolar disorder.
In addition to therapy for mood and relationship concerns, Mari supports clients coping with life changes, offers coaching, and works with compassion fatigue and ADHD. She favors a solution-focused approach and integrates cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, reality orientation treatment, and here-and-now work into her practice.
Her therapeutic process emphasizes understanding the problem, processing it, exploring its intensity, and then setting goals to guide practical problem solving. Mari creates a climate of non-judgement, respect, interest, and acceptance, and she aims to empower people by helping them identify and use the answers they already possess.
