Lowell Lewis is a licensed clinical social worker practicing in Florida with 25 years of experience in clinical settings. He holds a Florida LCSW credential (FL LCSW SW6552), which qualifies him to provide therapeutic services.
Over the course of his career he has worked in community behavioral health, correctional environments, programs for sexual perpetrators, geriatric care, and in private practice. Those varied settings inform his work and give him a broad base of clinical experience.
He prefers an integrative approach he refers to as “Common Sense Therapy,” blending techniques from different modalities to suit each person’s needs. He describes his style as down-to-earth and professional, open-minded yet principled, compassionate and empathic while remaining direct. He brings many life experiences and a deep spiritual belief to his work.
Lowell completed a Bachelor of Education at Illinois State University and earned a Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois, Champaign/Urbana. His primary therapeutic interests include couple counseling, relationship conflicts, life transitions, sexual abuse and trauma, gender dysphoria, anger management, and dissociation.
He also works with a wide range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, stress, addictions, LGBT issues, family conflicts, grief, eating and sleeping disorders, parenting challenges, self-esteem, career difficulties, bipolar disorder, coping with life changes, coaching, compassion fatigue, and ADHD.
It is a privilege for him to offer support aimed at helping people more fully enjoy their lives. Prospective clients are invited to reach out at their convenience; he will make every effort to respond as soon as he can. Thank you for choosing BetterHelp.
