Hello! I am a professional counselor licensed in Texas with over 13 years of experience working as a mental health professional therapist.
I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, compassion fatigue, grief from the lloss of a pet, abandonment issues, attachment issues, self-harm, young adult issues, social anxiety, communication issues, LGBTQ issues, gender quest issues and sensory processing disorders. I also helped many people who have experienced physical, sexual and emotional trauma. I have managed local crises and provided ongoing support for clients struggling with PTSD.
I have worked in various settings, including inpatient psychiatric care, long-term residential care, outpatient, in-home care, and community support programs.
I offer a counseling style that is casual, non-judgmental, empathetic, respectful, warm, and humorous. I am driven by the need to meet my clients where they are. I strive for my therapy approach to be humanistic. My broad theoretical and therapeutic approaches are based on individual needs. They include, but not limited to narrative therapy, solution-focused, mindfulness-based therapy, person-centered, trauma-focused and motivational interviewing. We will work together to design a treatment plan to meet your individual and specific needs.
