Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
NOTE: I just started working a week day daytime only schedule. In other words, appointments are only available between 9:30 am and 2:30 or 3:30 pm. The most amazing thing about BetterHelp is that you can find a counselor who’s work schedule matches your availability. Various counselors work all different hours, some on early mornings, late evenings and/or weekends, so you can choose someone who’s schedule works best for you!
My name is Linda Culver and I am nationally certified as a Master Addiction Counselor (through NAADAC), and licensed in the State of Indiana both as a Mental Health Counselor and a Clinical Addiction Counselor. I have experience working in hospitals, residential treatment centers, and outpatient counseling settings with many kinds of individuals ages 12 – 90. Being licensed in both addiction and mental health, my first love is helping people who are in 12 Step recovery with “outside issues” when additional support that does not contradict basic recovery principles is needed/desired. Typically, I am is cognitive-behavioral in orientation, with a focus on thinking/reframing and choices/behavior, and I strongly believe that learning to experience and effectively cope with feelings is key to more effective coping and a better life. I truly believe that “no situation is hopeless,” that no problem is so difficult that it cannot be improved, and that no unhappiness is so great that it cannot be lessened (tenets of recovery programs). When adjustment to change is difficult, when grief and loss are overwhelming, or when stress seems overpowering, I believe that it makes a huge difference to “walk though” the adjustment, grief and/or stress with someone else, and talking about it (or sometimes talking about talking about it) is the first step towards learning to manage, feeling better, and resolving issues. Feel free to choose any method of communication that feels most comfortable for you, and to ask any questions you might have. You don’t have to know how or that this might work to start the process! Congratulations on getting started!

Note: Linda Culver now maintains a weekday daytime-only schedule, with appointments available between 9:30 am and 2:30 or 3:30 pm. She points out that online counseling options make it possible to find a clinician whose hours align with a client’s availability.
Linda Culver is nationally certified as a Master Addiction Counselor through NAADAC and is licensed in Indiana to practice both mental health counseling and clinical addiction counseling. She brings 20 years of clinical experience working in hospitals, residential treatment centers, and outpatient counseling settings with people aged 12 through 90.
With licenses and certification in both addiction and mental health, she especially focuses on supporting people in 12 Step recovery who need help with “outside issues” while maintaining principles of recovery. Her approach is typically cognitive-behavioral, emphasizing how thoughts can be reframed and how choices influence behavior, while also teaching ways to experience and cope with feelings more effectively.
She holds the belief that no situation is hopeless, that difficult problems can be improved, and that intense unhappiness can be reduced—ideas consistent with recovery tenets. When adjustment to change feels hard, grief is overwhelming, or stress seems overpowering, she believes it can make a meaningful difference to work through those challenges with another person and that talking about concerns is often the first step toward better coping and resolution.
Linda invites people to select the communication method that feels most comfortable and to ask any questions they may have. She recognizes that many begin without knowing exactly how the process will unfold and affirms the value of taking that initial step toward help.
Areas she works with include stress and anxiety, addictions, relationship issues, grief and coping with life changes, LGBT concerns, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, intimacy-related issues, eating and sleeping disorders, parenting challenges, anger management, self-esteem, career difficulties, bipolar disorder, depression, coaching, compassion fatigue, and ADHD.
For many common concerns—including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes—online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person care. Research and clinical experience have shown that remote sessions address these issues successfully for a wide range of people.
One of the clearest advantages is flexibility. People can meet with a therapist in the format that suits them best: video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This variety makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy routine.
All participating therapists are licensed professionals, and clients are able to switch providers if they want a different fit. That adaptability helps ensure people can find the therapeutic relationship and schedule that support their goals.
